Desiderium: Effects of Dementia on Family Dynamic, 2016-2022

an ardent desire or longing; especially: a feeling of loss or grief for something lost
“Desiderium” was a six-year self-initiated documentary project created from a desire to process the ways in which dementia impacted family dynamics, and the accompanying anticipatory grief. While photographs do not appear in chronological order, they were curated and placed specifically within the project to move viewers through an evolving sense of disconnect, longing for reconciliation, and ultimately, loss.
